Aymen tells us about his latest creation the X-HingeT "We originally designed the X-HingeT because we found that there was nothing on the market here or in the states that really did the job the way we wanted it to, most of them where flimsy to say the least".

EARLY START TO CLASS

Being in the automotive industry and seeing what fashions arise with not only modifications but the choice of cars for different age groups, we here at Custom Cars Online have realised a vast increase in luxury cars for the younger generations.
Approximately 10 years ago, the average 17 year old would purchase either an older car with plans to work the motor or if they were lucky enough, they would buy something newer and just add the simple modifications as their budget allows. But as time passes on, the luxury cars from 10 years ago become even more affordable, and as such, we are seeing P-Platers with blinging BMW’s, magnificent Mercedes’ and Low Lexus’.

INTERIOR DESIGNS

From the dynamic duo at Interior Designs in Sydney’s western suburbs, comes this flagship car which is owned by one of the two business partners, Patrick George. Patrick has been building this car over many years and as head audio installer, this car shows what skills he can offer to any prospective customers.

JAPANESE TUNER

Japanese imports are the most cost effective way for owners to start their lengthy paths of modifications. Because these cars are generally found in various conditions and with many modifications already from their homeland, they offer not only a bargain price, but also an endless supply to aftermarket parts – used and new.

Daniel Heuser bought this 1993 Nissan Skyline after previously owning a 1989 and a 1991 Honda Prelude. Being one of Daniels favourite cars and also being bought at an excellent price, made this purchase a no brainer.

NO HELP NEEDED

Most people will remember the number plates of this VE Commodore from the insanely built S13 Silvia which graced car shows and streets a few years ago. Rest assured that that car is undergoing a full rebuild at the X Customs workshop, but in the meantime, the team have created another stunning piece of art for the lucky owner.

Building a decent show car is no easy feat. But building a road-going monster is even harder than expected. Owner Justin Smith was able to complete this feat by establishing some of the best names in the car building business. Primarily, Justin took the car to X Customs in Sydney’s south west. Here, the team contracted out the work which was to be designated to other companies and they stripped and prepared the car for a full overhall.

SUNKIST ORANGE

Sometimes we receive a feature car which requires an extremely detailed article to go along with the pictures. The problem is that a picture says a thousand words, but with a car like this Datsun 1200 sedan, a shopping list of modifications is best to show just how much has been modified.

THE DARK KNIGHT

The main question that modifiers get asked is “why?”

Sometimes we modify cars to go faster, sometimes because we like our music. Other times it can because we like to drive them hard. But all of the time, it is because we strive for individuality. With owner George Dimitrievski, he started modifying his 2001 VU Holden Commodore ute with some simple accessories. But when he added the Lamborghini style doors, he was quickly named “Batman” by his friends and family. Naturally this fuelled George’s fire within and he started to look at his car as a complete blank canvas.

CANDY COMMODORE

Keeping things simple is Ben’s candy apple 2003 Holden Commodore S pack. With the rise in the “sex spec” style of modifications, the most cohesive modifications that one can do are to paint their car in a bright hue and also fit oversized wheels.

With a large turnout for all car shows in Sydney, the Street Machine Nationals show at Rosehill racecourse proved to be a very powerful event. Running on the 15th and 16th or May 2010, the show included some of the best show cars on display ranging from old school classics to high tech motors and retro fitted muscle cars.
